What happens after you submit

Deletion is handled by our privacy team, not automatically. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

  1. 1

You get a reference number straight away

We email a confirmation to the address you give us, with a reference like DEL-000123. Keep it — you can quote it in any follow-up.

  2. 2

We verify the request is really yours

We check the email matches an account. If anything is unclear, we reply and ask — we never delete an account on an unverified request.

  3. 3

Your hospital is notified where needed

If your account sits under a hospital or clinic, we coordinate with them, because they control the clinical records held in their system.

  4. 4

We delete, then confirm in writing

Deletion completes within 30 days. You get a final email confirming it, and telling you plainly about anything we were legally required to keep.

What goes, and what stays

Deletion FAQ

Before You Delete

You can cancel while the request is still being verified — reply to the confirmation email with your reference number and ask us to stop. Once deletion has actually run, it cannot be reversed: the data is gone, not archived.

Not necessarily. Medical records belong to the hospital or clinic that treated you, and health law usually requires them to be kept for a set number of years. We remove your account, profile and login, and we pass your request to your hospital — but they make the final decision on records they are legally obliged to retain. We will tell you exactly what was kept and why.

You get an acknowledgement immediately. Verification usually finishes within a few business days, and deletion completes within 30 days of your request at the latest. You receive a written confirmation once it is done.

No. This form works whether or not you can still sign in — that is deliberate, because people often want to delete an account they have lost access to. We verify the request by email before acting on it. If you are signed in, we prefill your details to save you typing.

Your access ends and your personal profile is removed. Clinical entries you authored stay in your hospital's system under their ownership — clinical governance requires an unbroken record of who did what. Those entries are no longer linked to a live login of yours.

No. This form deletes an individual account. A hospital cancels its ZenHosp subscription from its billing settings, or by contacting our team. If you are the account owner and want to close the whole organisation, say so in the reason field and we will handle both together.
